The New Year Party of Astronomy at Peking University

In the evening of December 23, the 2011 New Year Party of Astronomy at Peking University got started at the kavli Institute for Astronomy and Astrophysics (KIAA) in an atmosphere of harmony. All the undergraduates and graduate students, the faculty and postdocs of Department of Astronomy and KIAA, as well as some leaders from the National Astronomical Observatories, Chinese Academy of Sciences were invited to this ˇ°family partyˇ±. At the beginning, two Scholarships were announced to encourage everyone to make more contributions to the development of Chinese astronomy. After the award ceremony, the freshmen played a humorous drama which set off the binge on that night. Offering enough food as well as many kinds of entertainments, the party in the well-decorated attic was a great success and made everyone present feel just at home.
