报告摘要

Photonic integrated circuits hold the advantages of high stability, scalability and low power consumption, thus have been greatly boost the developments of the photon based classical and quantum information processing. It is well known that the non-reciprocal devices is indispensable for photonic circuits. However, due to the limitations of fabrication technology and the lossy magneto-optic materials, and also the incompatibility of the bias magnetic field and the magnetic shields with the photonic chip, the non-magnetic realization of the non-reciprocal integrated photonic devices is still challenging. In this talk, I will introduce our recent work along this direction. Utilizing the optical nonlinear effect and optomechanical coupling, we demonstrated the non-reciprocal photon-photon and photon-phonon conversion in whispering gallery microresonators. Based on this, we experimentally realized the non-reciprocal photonic memory, isolator, phase shifter and circulator.

 

报告人简介:邹长铃,2008年7月于中国科学技术大学获学士学位,2014年7月于中国科学技术大学获博士学位,之后赴美国耶鲁大学开展博士后研究,2017年3月回到中国科学技术大学光学与光学工程系工作。主要从事量子光学和集成光学芯片的实验和理论研究,在Nature Photon., Nature Comm., Science Advances和PRL等期刊上发表研究论文60余篇。
