Low temperature, high magnetic field


Our research concerns quantum transport of electrons in low dimensional systems at low temperatures, down to 20 mK, and/or in high magnetic fields, up to 16 Tesla. In these systems, the behavior of electrons is often governed by quantum mechanics. The quantum (wave) nature of electrons gives rise to variety of quantum effects, such as phase interference and discrete energy levels. These effects can lead to novel electron transport properties, which may be useful in future electronics.
