Fill the material gap of photocatalysis

 

 

Model research of photocatalysis is normally focused on the single crystal, which has special crystal face and less defects. While the real reaction often catalyzed by the nanoparticles, which has many active surfaces and defects. This is called “material gap”.

The film thickness is controlled by the concentration of colloidal concentration, and monitored by a profilometer. Now We are studying structures and photocatalytic reactions of small organic molecules and water on different TiO2 crystalline surface(rutile, anatase, brookite).
